My husband and I have had Alltel for about 5 years now. We love it because most of our friends and family have Alltel and it's free to call anyone that has Alltel, so it doesn't use any of your minutes up. It's also free nights (starting at 7 pm) and weekends, so you don't use minutes during those to anyone you call. We get 700 minutes with our plan that we split, but we usually only use about 100 minutes a month because most everyone we call has Alltel. We live in Wisconsin and we have a regional plan and it works pretty much everywhere. Of course there are some places that it doesn't work, but for the most part, it works everywhere. Our plan has pretty much stayed the same amount for the past 5 years except for the normal yearly tax amount that usually goes up only like 2 or 3 dollars. we really like it though, but just check around to see if your area has good towers so you'll get good service.
