Do you really need a Iphone for good internet, What are some cool things

to get the most from mobile internet? I don't really see how anybody would use the internet on a mobile phone. I was thinking about using my own web page to house a bunch of different mobile things I and my friends can use specificlly for Mobile phones. Like maybe should I put some media streams and Ebooks and whatever else in one central location, kind of like a big bookmark of all the cool things on the internet but i have never used the mobile net so i dont understand what things to put. And do I absolutely NEED a Iphone to get good interfacing? maybe other people would want to use my site if i made it like I suggested. Arent there any sites like this already around?

You don't need an iPhone to experience "good" internet. Personally, I think that the most useful function mobile internet can provide is that it allows you to send and receive emails on the go. That's it. Everything else like multimedia and streaming content are just pluses to me.Great alternatives to the iPhone are WiFi-enabled PDA phones from Palm (e.g. Tungsten, Treo, etc.) or a BlackBerry.
