I want to get an iPhone, but on airplanes you aren't supposed to have cell phones on. I would still want to listen to music. Should I just get an iPod?

Well ALL cellphones (modern ones) including the Apple iPhone, have a new setting called 'Airplane Mode' which is exactly what you are looking for! So, YES you can have it as a cellphone then as an iPod then both when you want!! Pretty cool.....When you have your iPhone, go to your main (home) menu go to 'Settings Tools' from there you will see an Airplane Mode' This will give you the option to turn it ON (disable your cell while flying) when you land you can repeat the easy steps turn the airplane Mode' OFF(enable your cell again). Turning 'Airplane Mode' ON will STILL allow you to use ALL of your iPhone settings menus like music, internet ect....it will just make it so you cannot make or recieve calls on your iPhone while you are in the air! As for wondering if you should just get the iPod instead?......I think that if you already have a cell phone but not an iPod yet.....I would just go for the iPod Touch. I have been doing TONS of research it sounds like the iPod touch is AMAZING I will be getting mine in the next few weeks!! But if you are looking to upgrade your cell you do not yet own an iPod?.....I would'nt think twice about buying the iPhone. Either way.....they are both WELL worth the money in my oppinion!!......I hope this all helps ya! Good Luck!
