i'm tired of my sidekick...i'm planning of getting blackberry pearl form att and i'm not planning of purchasing any data plans. but only unlimited texting including all the IMs, is that possible? cause usually in order to get the phone you need to purchase additional plan?actually, i thought of an iphone but i dont really need the features of it, its almost basically having a sidekick all over again...i told my dad im ready to give up my T-mobile contract by 23rd of x-mas, and get added to my dads plan.. Tmobile has the worst reception..AIM works through the browser!!! i did not knwo that

iPhone in my opinion is definitely the best investment but yes, you can own a blackberry with just a regular plan...be aware that the IM service works through the web browser and is not a seperate application like on the sidekick so if you're getting it to use just for that...not a good investment...
