why does my blackberry pearl 8130 clear its SMS txt and call log?

my blackberry is only a couple of days new so im getting used to all the settings. ive already tried messing with the settings so that it "saves messages forever" but it seems to clear out anyways. anybody know wassup?

that happens to me all the time, it happens LESS (not never, just less) if you take out the battery for 5 minutes once a day. I dunno about u but I tend not to turn my phone off EVER so you have to realize that it needs time to think and it tries to make as much free space as possible. I made a habit of literally saving each and every text message I get as soon as I get it because it 100% for sure will not delete SMS messages that you SAVE.
