Should I get the Blackberry Pearl for Christmas?

I need a new phone, I hate my Motorola Razr - it's total crap. I'm looking at the Blackberry Pearl - anyone have one? How is it? I am with AT&T/cingular - anyone know if I can get a good deal w/them?

Yes...that's a wonderful phone. It does pretty much anything!

I know several people who have them and they all tell me they suck.

the pearl is difficult to use but it is stylish and it does offer a large ammount of freedom. but the keys are so small you can barely see what you are dialing/typing.
