i just got a new blackberry pearl and i need help with...?

connecting it to my computer! any time i plug it in nothing happens..im wondering if theres some thing i have to download first? or is it supposed to just work when i plug it in

try the other usb hole. plug the usb cord into the usb slot. if it doesnt work try the other slot. it will work.
