Close apps on BlackBerry?

How can I close applications on my BlackBerry pearl 8100 without having to enter them? Both my calculator and media player got stuck and they keep on even if i turn my BlackBerry off. Thanks in advanceI already worked it out by taking the battery out and putting it back again. Despite knowing that, I would like to know if there's any kind of "task manager" in BB pearl 8100 to close applications...By the way, hiding hem doesn't work the problem out, as applications keep running (I can see that when I switch applications)
