Having Problems with my unlocked Blackberry Pearl.....HELP!?

I have a T-Mobile Blackberry Pearl that i unlocked by calling customer service. Right now i Am in Mexico and have bought a prepaid Telcel sim card. Well when the phone boots up it displays "Initialization Failed" im not sure why. Does anyone know?

Is there anyway to make it work in Mexico with a Telcel prepaid card? i know someone that also brought a blackberry from USA and is working with telcel prepaid!

It wont work no matter what customer service says it wont.... i did it and i couldnt do it...i live here now and had to get a windows mobile phone...
