Will it cost me to fix my charger on my blackberry?

I have a blackberry pearl. Well the charger where it goes into the port -- apparently it smashed. I wanna take it to a verizon store but I hope it doesnt cost anything to fix.

Its one of those things I feel I could fix myself, but then maybe not. Its just squeezed slightly. But I have VERY important info on there I use daily. Even tho my service isnt on right now. I still use it.

What should I do?

if you have a warentee it wont
