Blackberry Pearl to G1?

Hey guys, just wondering.

I have a T-Mobile G1 HTC, and i've gotten very annoyed by it. My dad, who has a blackberry pearl, wants to switch it with me.

Is it possible to just switch the SIM cards, and still have the Voice minutes and the texts? And how would i do it.

P.S. The blackberry is not on the blackberry plan or whatever. And we are all on the same plan.
