...Blackberry support? I intend buying a Motorola phone with Blackberry support, but the salesman at the counter asked me why I needed the Blackberry supported one when I could just get a cheaper phone with only GPRS and still get the same functions as one with Blackberry. Is that true? What advantages does a Blackberry-supported phone have over one with just GPRS?Thanks Adam, but considering that I have access to a Blackberry push server, how better is Blackberry than just GPRS in terms of usefulness and practicality?

Unless you're working somewhere with a Blackberry push server, the "Blackberry support" doesn't do anything for you. ANY modern phone (for the last 5 years at least) phone that supports GPRS can be configured to check email.Edit> Ah, that changes things. The only real difference is that the non-Blackberry phone will have to be configured to check email automatically at a specified interval using POP. The Blackberry-enabled phone will receive email updates as soon as they happen. You mention that you're considering an EDGE phone with a keypad and Blackberry support. I'm partial to the Nokia E61i and the Sony M600i myself.
