blackberry pearl 8130 volume controls?

i have the blackberry pearl 8130 from verizon wireless and i want to put the volume setting to vibrate but its not working i feel dumb haha someone help????

On the left-hand side, press that button. It should bring up the menu, or phone ringer settings.

On your main screen use the pearl going up and to the right to highlight the Speaker looking icon. Click that and you can select vibrate
