I've got a bluetooth headset which when connected to the system responds

correctly with a beep voice......? I've got a bluetooth headset with DELL m1530 laptop , which when connected to it responds correctly (BEEP voice.) but on checking the AUDIO setting, responds lately and on enabling the headphone and headset the message appear parameter is incorrect .Why is this so..?
