Was anyone able to set-up HTC 8525 to successfully connect to Wi-Fi without setting static IP, gateway and DNS server? I can only connect using manual settings. Once I switched to “use server assigned IP address” and leave DNS field empty, my device will not acquire IP address automatically. My router is set correct, because my laptops are connecting to it with the some settings. I also have my proxy disabled and the slider is set to “Best Performance” This is very annoying, since I can’t use any hot spots. Network is visible as “available” signal is excellent, but I will get the message “Can’t acquire IP address” If someone successfully connects, please post step by step settings. Thank You

I went and turned on wifi . i had to enter passcode anfd it connected. it will find open wifi and connect
