how do i upload music onto my htc touch phone? i just got it yesterday?

i need in lamens terms how to upload music into my htc phone. is it as simple as just plugging the usb cord in and the comp will tell me the rest? Some how i don't think so.

I use active-sync. It should have come with your phone. Once you have it loaded you can plug in your phone and it will recognize it in one of your 'my computer' folders and you can copy and paste into the music folder that you will find. If your phone is like mine it wont come with very much space(16 songs) . You may want to buy a micro sd card.
