HTC TyTN II?

it's a great phone, i mean i've seen videos, and read articles about it . Would it work here in the philippines?.... and, i just found out it costs A LOT of dough so i was wondering, is it worth it? would all the applications work here like it would in work in america or something?cause i would probably kill myself if that $700, $800 thing wouldn't.....
