How do I enter a 'pause' or 'wait' characters when storing numbers on a ATT...

...(Cingular / HTC) 8525? I want to store a number on 8525 so I can call the number and have it pause 5 seconds then automatically enter a code. Option 2 would be to have it wait until press a key then automatically enter the code. My other phones would do this but the manual doesn't say how to do it on this one.
