Default KYOCERA E2000 Shuts off when Micro USB Cable is installed between Phone and PC?

We purchased our Kyocera E2000 phone from a MetroPCS dealer about a month ago. They did not have the optional USB to MicroUSB cable at the store so we purchased one seperately. When we connect the phone to any PC the phone shuts off and there is an Error on the PC saying the USB device Malfunctioned. I'ved try pulling the battery on the phone and powering up the phone with it attached to the PC, USB 1 & 2 ports but nothing works. Is it a bad cable or a bad phone? has anyone else had a problem like this? I tried googling for an answer but could not find anyone that had ever had a problem like this.

Well return that cable and get a Kyocera USB cable And second of all Kyocera is the worst phone since Nokia I thought that Kyocera shut down in the late 90's I'd return the phone immediately Kyocera is horrible its just one big headache it might be the cable but in my opinion its the phone Kyocera is simply s**tyGet a Samsung phone or an LG they are the best with computers they never shut down and they are really fast when you are transfering files
