My Kyocera phone won't stop beeping!?

My kyocera phone, through US Cellular, beeps about every five to ten minutes, though its not consistent and will sometimes go for awhile without beeping.There are no text or voice messages, i'm not roaming, i have full service the whole time, the battery is recharged. If i turn it on vibrate, the single beep is replaced by two quick vibrates. Everything on the screen looks normal, except it says "1X Active" which I'm not sure what that means.I've been through the settings several times and cannot come up with anything that stops the beeping.Any ideas?

call the place ya bought it...sounds like a deffect!!

did u set alarm on that phone?
