Does anyone have any battery saving tips for the Kyocera Oystr KX9D Cell Phone?

I haven't got mine yet (should arrive this week) but if anyone has any tips I'd appreciate knowing because I've heard the battery life can be short (at least on the older models).

you'd be surprised how long battery life is. When the phone isn't in use, it goes to a kind of hibernation mode. that preserves battery life.

I recently got a new cell phone, had it for 3 yrs. & the battery was still good.I leave my phone on continuously which draws little energy.The talk time is what draws on the battery & most all get 3+ hrs. of talk time before it goes dead.All have battery indicators & when there are only 2 bars left, I then put it on the charger.
