Ok so I've had this phone from virgin mobile for say 3 or 4 weeks now and for the past two days its done this random beeping thing that's EXTREMELY loud and annoying. And then it started saying that my mobile im and mobile email requests start-up and that was cool... at first. At first there was actually something there that needed my attention such as a message from a friend or a recent im from a buddy. But now every time i go on, there is nothing there. no new messages. no pop ups. nothing. And the thing still kept beeping. I deleted all my im and email accounts and took out the battery to try to get it to stop but it still kept on doing it and not even randomly or every 5 minutes anymore but every second! It's been driving me insane!















Please, if you're going to respond, don't tell me it's happening because I have no signal or or an unread message or something because its not. Trust me. I've checked that already. And yes i disabled all alerts and turned the volume all the way down.















I read somewhere that I might need to reprogram my phone but i have no clue how to do that. So if anyone has done that before please tell me how. Thanks!

Hello. I have the Kyocera XTC and have had the same problem. The first time, I fixed it and forgot how I did it. So, the second time, when I was stupid enough to go into mobile im and get the beep stuck on again....I just figured out a different way that has worked so far.

It has everything to do with mobile IM, or at least it did with mine. Even when I signed out, deleted all my information....still...beeping. This time, I went into my mobile email (yahoo) and mobile im (also yahoo) and deleted my information. I think there is some kind of glitch because, like I said, it continued the beeping. SO, I powered off my phone, and turned it back on. Immediately a notification from mobile im popped up asking me if i wanted to log on, I chose "NO." The beeping stopped, but a blinking "im" kept going in my message section, so, i went back into im (which was empty of all my info) and it warned me of standard rate charges, and you have to pick "accept or decline", so I declined, and the mobile IM quit blinking. I powered it off and back on one more time, and this time no message from mobile IM came up. The beep is no more.
