how do you take ringtones off computer and put them on lg rumor?

hey i jus got a lg rumor from sprint i need some help - how can you move RINGTONES from computer to phone and b able to set as a ringtone - i have a MicoSD Card & USB Cable but i cant jus randomly put the rington into the music file or make a folder in microsd card and select it as a ringer - btw if i go to ringers and hit Assigned Media it says NO RINGER FILE - but anyway can someone help meee on this? and my INTERNAL memory is FULL - soooo

help i will greatly appropriate it-Ps i love the lg rumor its awesome id recommend this!
