I recently read an article about a man that used it as a modem and was billed eight million dollars because his plan charges by the kb of use. he was downloading HD movies for most of the month. Check with your plan and see how it charges. Don't use it if it charges by the kilobyte.

Its not the phone you are using that creates the cost its the network you are using. For example O2 charge upto around £3.00 / mb. You need to contact your mobile phone service provider and ask them what their data costs are and if there are any bolt ons /additional services you can subscribe to so its cheaper. using mobile phones are modems though generally use less data that if say you viewed the same webpage via broadband due to the networks data compression.
