Default I have an LG Vu CU920. What does it mean when they say expandable memory
capacity up to 4GB? If i wanted to could i put an 8GB microSB card in there

Yes you could. The issue is that the phone can only address up to 4GB. Paying for the extra 4GB is a waste of $.
