Yeah, I've dropped mine on the cement so many times and it's still going strong. It's pretty stylish and I like how thin it is, so there isn't a large bulge in your pocket. Only problems I have with it are the lack of themes and no keyboard. I think LG Venus is a cooler slider phone though.
