buy a Micro SD card and a Card readerput the card in the phone first (the phone will create the folders)then put the card into the reader and just drag and drop the sangs into the Music folder.when you are done roinsert the card in your phone and go to th emusic menuyou now have to create playlists or the songs for the phone to recognize after that you are donealso you will need to pay attention as the phone will display the normally hidden files associaated with the files like the MP3 players artist and album cover data so make sure that you add the right files to the list. The chocolate is just about the grooviest phone out there isnt it I love mine

Default Need further directions on using the memory card and reader please.

I just purchased the black Chocolate 8550 phone and am looking forward to using the phone as a MP3 player also. I run a lot and this would prevent me from having to lug around both the MP3 play and cell during my runs. Yay!

I did not purchase any music kit, but was interested in the cheaper way of doing it using the memory card and card reader. I can probably get these on E-bay pretty cheap...at least cheaper than purchasing a kit thru Verizon. lol

What I don't understand is by looking at the card readers, they look like they are connected to the computer via USB. The memory card is just a card that slips into the phone.

I don't understand how the music gets from the reader to the card in the phone. What connects to what?

The phone doesn't have a USB port to plug the reader in does it? I know I'm asking crazy questions but would appreciate any help. Thanks so much.
