Default I see on TV news that a coach in the French Alps fell into a ravine burst...

...into flames killed 26 passengers? They were good, Christian people, returning from a pilgrimage to a religious shrine in Poland. If God did not lift a finger to save his worshipers, why do we say he is compassionate?

Many people would not kill 26 rats that way.

Things happen in case you haven't noticed...no morality to it...

God does not get involved with us here.

I am saddened by that news.

God does act in strange ways, even to reward those who believe in Him and worship Him.

Ah, another reiteration of the problem of evil. God gave man free will, without which man could not truly love God. However, man can misuse that free will, including twisting something that might be good, such as religion, into something that is evil. Until the unbeliever can show that a universe with love (even though it entails the possibility of evil) cannot be better than a universe without love (even though it entails no possibility of evil), then the problem of evil argument will always falter. It is not God who caused the human suffering and so forth, but man's misuse of free will.

I rejoice that the believers are now resting in the arms of their saviour. Why ask why God would do this. His ways are higher than are ways. And bringing them away from this evil world is the most compassionate thing that I can think of.

In Jesus Name

1) You don't know if they were good, Christian people unless you knew all of them personally - and very well.

2) God did not kill these people. Besides, if they *were* good Christian people, God has a place for them much nicer than that bus.

3) Luke 13:4-5

Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, were worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem? I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

Weather it is nobler to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune....... Some people would be saying thank God !,, but you know ,,he may not have had anything to do with it.. it could be he saw it take place, and only had time to say fear not. before the ravine swallowed them ... he might have said it out loud......
