ALP (Alk Phos) is an enzyme that's present in many tissues in the body, with the highest concentrations in liver and bone. Ideally, ALP should be 120. Your elevation is mild and can be attributed to a number of things. Diabetes medications, aspirin and some other meds are certainly one of them and can cause mild elevations of ALP. Your other liver tests are normal. Your doctor can check GGT that will show subclinical liver injury, try switching you to another antidiabetic drug, or wait and see and recheck your Labs in a few weeks.
If you had a broken bone or any other bone injury that is healing, your ALP will be elevated as well.
