I have a Dell Axim X5 PDA. I have some older word processing files that I would like to open on the PDA. I can transfer them into the folder and load them onto the PDA, but when I try to open them, it says there is no program associated with that kind of file, and to open the application first. When I do that, I don't get a File/Open type of screen. Can you help? The Axim is about 4-5 years old. It syncs to outlook 2000 and has an old version of Pocket PC. Thanks. judsonSome are text files. Others pictures in jpg format that for some reason won't open in the viewer. I just can't figure out how to open a program and then open a file from the program. There should be a file/open option in pocket word but when I open pocket word, it won't let me select anything other than a word doc.

Old files? what type...Word files? txt files? I would try to open the files in Word then save them in a newer format and then move them to your axim.
