Easiest way to back up text messages and contacts before upgrading samsung...

...blackjack to windows mobile 6? ActiveSync is not syncing with Windows Mobile Device Center... irony of ironies. Anyway, I would like to dump my text messages and contacts to my storage card. Does anyone have insight into how I could drag and drop from my laptop or get ActiveSync and Windows Mobile Device Center on the same page?
