How do i put music on my Motorola Slvr?

i got a Motorola slvr and i am about to get the 2gb micro card for it. and i dont know how to ut music onto it. i have the USB cord for it, i just need to figure out how to put music on the phone. Sometimes when i connect it to the comuter, the computer cant reconize it and it wont charge or anything. do i need to download anything?

If you goto settings/ Connections/ USB Settings.Select Memory Device.Then connect you Phone via the USB cable.This allows your PC to see your phone as removable memory.You can drag and drop from your PC after you do this.
