Depends on what you want to do on your phone. My suggestion is to go onto the website (www.wireless.att.com), click on Shop, then Phones & Devices. From there you can choose Shop All Phones, and it will give you a list of every AT&T phone currently available for sale.Find the Motorola V8 & read the reviews. Some people in customer service will lie to you to get you to buy the phone, but customer's who've used it personally will usually tell the truth.

I suggest you look at the KRZR K1 or the V9 instead.A lot of the buzz surrounding the RAZR2 is about the V9, not the V8. What I found particularly weird about the V8 is the lack of a microSD slot. The V9 and the much older KRZR K1 both have one as a means of expanding the memory on the phone. All 3 phones have the same amount of internal memory (20megs), but without a microSD slot, the V8 has no means of adding to it. 20 megs is ok, but it's not a lot, and if you get to putting songs on the phone and taking photos, it'll fill up fast. The lack of any memory expansion ability on the RAZR2 V8 is a HUGE flaw in my view. The V9 is much more expensive (typically double), but it is a 3G phone, so it's capable of faster data transfer if you've got a 3G/wCDMA SIM card. It can work as a GSM phone too, which isn't mentioned in most reviews. As mentioned, most of the RAZR2 reviews online are about the V9 not the V8, so if you're looking at the RAZR2 V8 because of the buzz, look at the V9 instead. The older KRZR K1 is going to be closer in features to the V8, but the technology behind it is a bit older. So, that means it'll be a bit bulkier (but not much), less responsive (slows down a bit as memory fills up with contacts, music, and photos), and less trendy due to it's age. On the plus side, due to it's age, it's going to be somewhat cheaper than the V8, and more importantly, it has a microSD slot to add memory. There are also phones from other manufacturers with much better feature sets than the RAZR2 V8. Some with plainer styling, some with very similar styling. I'm not saying the V8 is necessarily a bad phone, but I personally went with the KRZR K1, even though it's older. Apologies to the dead horse, but the lack of a memory slot is a really bad omission on the V8, and a lot of people are going to get suckered thinking it's just the GSM version of the V9.

the v9 is a better phone my cousin has it. if you happen to live in the US i happen to know a site where i believe they sell the v9 for only $100. and at this site you can get a plan that is about $10 cheaper than the store and its the exact same plan. and you can rely on their service, their phones are brand new. i currently just bought a new phone at this site the blackjack2 for free and with a $50 rebate. i received the phone within two days. just thought i'd share with you how i got a great deal. you can actually check it out or buy it online. its www.5linx.net/jjr/ once u get there you click on 'products' on the top right hand corner and select mobiles. well if anything i hope you get a good phone that you happen to enjoy! =]
