I can't take it anymore, it is driving me crazy. I press "contacts" and it takes a serious 8 seconds to come up. I press the 7 button 4 times to get the letter "s" to come up..and the letters "pr" come up. The phone is so slow, that I can't use it! I always am calling the wrong people because when I press call, the arrow decides to move a few seconds later. It is only a few months old. I always delete my messages to make it faster, but it doesn't work. I barely have pictures on it. I don't store much on it.How do I reformat it?

It's either you have many applications opened and it takes a bit to load or it can be a factory defect. Otherwise you can take it back to the place where you got it and see if they can clear up some storage space or have them do a warranty on it. OR go on the motorola website and I think they might have software update there.
