i can't find my ssid with my motorola mstatea modem?

I've gone to my ip address and i can't find an option to see my ssid or even make a new one. Does my modem have an ssid? Will i have to buy a router to connect a wii and xbox 360 wirelesly?

Unless you have a modem/router combo it seams that you only have a modem to connect to the internet to get ADSL or CABLE. You will need to get a router to connect other devices to the internet

Does your modem have a wireless router/gateway built in to it? Some do, I'm not familiar with the model.

In the modem page, Look under Wireless settings, make sure it's Enabled if it is and what the SSID is. It also MIGHT be under the modem (as well as the WEP key)
