If i buy a used motorola q for alltel from ebay, can i go to an alltel

STORE AND GET INSURANCE ON IT? I was looking to purchase a used Motorola Q from ebay and then going into an Alltel store and getting insurance for it. That way, I could say it was stolen and pay the $50.00 deductible and receive a brand new Motorola Q9C. Is that possible? Do you have to purchase a brand new phone from an Alltel store or Alltel.com to get insurance put on it? Is my plan a legit one? Thanks.
