Why does the battery of my motorola slvr lc7 dies after 6 minutes of being using...

...the wap browser? I have the motorola slvr lc7 phone. I've had it for more than one year. I always use the browser to check stuff online. But now the battery dies after five minuets of using the browser. What can I do? New battery, new charger or new phone? If I should get a new phone, how can I get a new cdma phone for metro pcs in miami, florida, for almost nothing or free and in excellent condition?
