can u use a nextel phone in mexico?

a family memeber is going to mexico and we need to know how nextel works there. will there be a charge or is it free international?

You probably need to contact your provider for that info. If you can roaming charges may apply.

depending on the plan he contracted for his nextel, there are a lot of different ones. some have extra charge for international, some doesn't, some are unlimmited etc.
