I opened my phone the other day to get a voice mail message and when I opened the phone immediately went into airplane mode and the inside screen was a black color. The inside screen doesn't appear to be broken because when the key pad lights and the backlight goes out the screen changes to a different black. I cannot get Nextel to help me. They tell me to go to the main menu screen and shut the airplane mode off, but the problem is that I can't use the inside screen. I've taken the sim card out along with the battery and when I put everything back together...the phone still says airplane mode. The outside caller id screen is still working and I can scroll through the caller list but I cannot get out of this stupid airplane mode. Please....if anyone has had a similar problem...help!!! I cant stand paying $45 + /month for my phone and not being able to use it. Thanks.
