Can I use an unlocked iphone with my nextel sim card?

I have an motorola i870 with Nextel service and I want to get an iphone. Can I use the sim card from the i870 in the iphone?

No, because of the security of the Nextel network which uses iDen as it's calling technology, you cannot use it with any GSM phone (iPhone) I'd say if you want a phone that has a lot of different options such as the iPhone, you're on the wrong network. Nextel is meant for the working class!
