how do i take the housing off a nokia 6500 classic?

my phone has had tea spilt on it and is all sticky inside. i want to take the housing off it to clean it. i have taken the bottom slidy thing off and the top bit where the charger goes. i cant seem to get the rest of the housing off. it seems to slide up so far but then gets stuck. any help much apreciated.
