Why texting won't work on my tracfone?

When i press send it says message not sent try again later! Whats wrong with it and why wont it work!!!

Did you try more than once ?possibilities1) you are out of reach of the network - you should have 'bars' at the antenna symbol2) the phone you are trying to send a message to, is out of reach of the network (like, in an elevator, or basement, where often you have no signal).3) the phone you are trying to send the message to, is off.
