Hello,I used to be a cell phone dealer, so maybe I can try to help out a bit.Helio is a pretty cool phone company, and their pitch is that they can browse the Internet pretty well on their devices. Its not just a phone but an entertainment device. Its a Korean company backed with a lot of money to make it a success.I think they purchase bandwidth from Sprint, so its nationwide, and you can use Helio where ever Sprint is available. As a cell phone dealer, I thought that the Helio was a bit over priced when it first came out, and the monthly plans were pretty expensive. It starts at around $65 a month now for its basic plan. Of course considering that it includes data & phone features, the price is some what reasonable. The way to beat this price with other carriers is to have a family plan, pay $9.99 a month as an add-on, and pay for the data plan individually. You'll probably end up paying $40-$65 a month using this tactic.Helio like most other companies will make you sign a 2 year contract. You maybe able to sign a one year, but it'll cost you more on the handset price.Reception wise, I would reccomend Verizon first then AT&T. Sprint (Helio) & T-Mobile did have its reception problems somewhat.Internet speed wise, AT&T, Verizon is fast. I don't know about Sprint & Helio. It is said that they are fast too. T-Mobile is slow.Overall, if you're looking to get the Helio and spend good money on monthly costs and handset, I would have to recommend the iPhone or some of Verizon Wireless' iPhone killers. They both have better reception and the device overall is better.I know that the iPhone is getting to be a fad, but the phone does have awesome features that most of the other companies just can't compete with.Only if you have all your friends using Helio, I would suggest going with iPhone.Good luck shopping!
