Default winter tires for Mitsubishi Eclipse?

Hi, I have a 2007 mitsubishi eclipse, and it's winter time - I need to get snow tires - what's a best brand for that car?

The best snow tires I have ever used are Nokian Hakkapeliitta. However, they are more of a performance snow tire. Bridgestone Blizzaks are decent on the Eclipse, as well as Hankook (I can't remember the model).

My choice of winter tires has always been Michelins, very good handling on ice and snow, shorter stopping distance, and very quiet road noise. For me, Michelin is the best and affordable brand. Other brand names are good too, as long as four winter tires are installed(not 2).Yokohama, Toyo, Gooodyear, and Dunlop make nice aggressive look winter tires.

Theres a lot more to it than just choosing a brand. You need to weigh the performance gain on snow to the handling loss across the board. True studless winter tires are very squishy, and when it gets above 40 degrees I think they're downright dangerous. Performance winter tires handle a bit better but dont do as well in the snow.Due to where and how I drive, I chose a performance winter tire, Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25's on my Honda Civic SI. Unfortunately, on the snow and ice they dont do all that much better than a good allseason, so I probably wont be getting another set of these.Previously I tried a full out studless winter tire, Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50's, and the severe loss in handling capabilities on dry pavement made me get rid of them. I've heard people having good results with the Dunlop Winter Sport M3's. You may want to look into those if it fits your situation.
