Whats is better? Hiptop slide, blackberry or other alternative?

Im looking for a new phone and was wondering what i should get?I like how the hiptop has free sms and email but not too sure if its worth it.Anyone know of any hiptop alternatives that are good?

All I know is I love my Blackberry Pearl. This is coming form someone who always gets bored with phones!!!!! I've had mine going on 2 yrs.
