NEC VA50H... XP's not seeing the battery!?

I have a NEC VA50H running on SP2... for some reason, the computer keeps thinking that it's running solely on AC power. I've tried going to Control Panel / Power Options, but the window shows only AC power as power source.. any suggestions?Edit: I've tried un-installing and re-installing the battery driver, but alas, to no effect. Help!

go to device manager and reinstall Ur battery driver
