I am considering purchasing the 6 cyl galant, how is this car....? i will be trading in a 2003 cadillac CTS but I like the galant because of the great warranty it comes with.

If i were you I wouldn't trade a 03 cadillac cts for a galant. I have heard of a couple of ppl with galants that are definetly not satisfied.

Well, the Caddy and the Galant are roughly comparable in terms of reliability. Neither is a Toyota Corolla or a Subaru Impreza in that regard, but both are pretty reliable.The Galant will be a step down in luxury as you no doubt already realize, but it is a very nice car nonetheless. It is reasonably quick in the 6 cylinder iteration. It handles reasonably well, and produces good mileage for what it is.The drawbacks are, it requires careful attention to fluid changes and at about 60K you will need to change the timing belt, as it is an interference engine.

You will hate the Galant. IT is a HUGE step down!! It's a crappy piece of junk. Look elsewhere.
