i have a NEC multiview 1810 that doesnt seem to stay on D Sub input.?

it has rgb bnc connectors and a d-sub 15 pin. i use the d sub. however when you change the input to d sub it shows the screen properly and says no signal, then goes black. so i know its not a resolution problem because the screen does show up momentarily. the normal screen settings wont display normally either, only flashthanks
