Default Should I mate my yorkies?

My male is 12 lbs and my female is 5 lbs. Will it hurt her to have his puppies?

He's more than twice her size .... I wouldn't breed them unless you have money for a C-Section to deliver the pups.

It could kill her.Even if it doesn't, I hope you're prepared to shell out lots of money for an emergency c-section.If you need to ask this question here it is a sign that you don't know anywhere near enough to be breeding. Please go do some serious research on responsible breeding.Start here:http://learntobreed.com/http://woodh...ing/index.html

Breeding should only be done by professionals. The goal of breeding is the betterment of the breed. Are you 100% sure than breeding your two dogs will better the breed? ANYONE can have two dogs make puppies; it takes a true professional to BREED.

This is a bad combination. You have a tiny female; even breeders of teacups will never use a female under 5 pounds because of the difficulty they have in whelping. While a 12 pound male is in the grand scheme of things a very small dog, he is still more than twice her size and could easily produce puppies that are too big for her. She is at the very marginal end of being too small to use as a broodb**** anyway, and to use a much bigger male is asking for trouble. Breeders of teacups use females no smaller than 5 pounds and the tiniest males they can find.

Would it hurt if you gave birth to a Silver Backed Gorilla?Their pedigree's and there overall look not to mention them complementing each others virtues and not doubling up on any faults, they both might have. These are reasons to breed, plus are they show quality, will you be making the breed better? Breeding is not for someone who has to ask strangers whether you should or shouldn't. there is too many people breeding because they think it will be good for our little doggies to have a little doggie of their own. It is very dangerous if inexperienced, it is very expensive, it is irresponsible and it could upset the happy and healthy bond your Male and Female have for each other.Do not do it, it will be a mistake.
