How reliable is the 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Turbo?

I recently had an offer for a1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Turbo5 Speed Automatic Transmission4 cylinder70-75 thousand milesPrice:$5500I wanted to know if this car has high maintenance.Will i have to keep repairing it?Is it reliable for a teen who doesn't want to spend money on repairs all the time?Will it break easily?Thank you

The Eclipse is extremely high maintenance. My son had one and it gave him nothing but trouble. He is trying to sell it now and I was checking Craigslist to see how they were priced. There are 100 of them listed just in the St. Louis area for sale. Find something different. Yes you will have to keep repairing it. It is not reliable especially for a teen that doesn't want to spend a lot on repairs. And yes it breaks down easily. I have never heard anyone state that it was a good reliable car.

$5500!!!! Try $2500 to $3000. And that's if you really want the car. I wouldn't touch that thing.
